Virtual Optima is a recent spin off, grown out of 15 years of research in the realm of mathematical optimisation and modelling techniques from the Department of Informatics at the University of Fribourg ( Switzerland ). Result of this research is the modelling software LPL. It allows the user the specify and solve complex mathematical models in a fraction of time compared with traditional techniques. LPL is the unique software in Switzerland offering this functionality and world-wide there exist only a handful of modelling languages.

Our design principle was and is still “Make it as simple as possible, but not simpler” (A. Einstein). We strongly intend to simplify the life of our clients.
